I found this questionnaire on a design website which used it as a part of an interview with John Maeda (of MIT fame).
at the age of fourteen proust was given an english album “confessions : an album to record thoughts, feelings”. seven years later marcel proust published this questionaire. in the literary salons in nineteenth century paris, this parlour game was a popular amusement. I invite you to answer these ‘old fashioned’ questions.
Oh, you mean the state of well-being… Decisive Productivity.

I was looking at my biorhythm (not sure why) for today and noticed that I am at an almost ultimate low. Ouch! A biorhythm is based on the idea that certain aspects of your life move in cycles. For those that can’t read the image; red represents Physical, blue is Intellectual, and green is Emotional.
When polled together, the above three qualities then translate into those represented by: purple/pink is Passion, yellow equals Mastery , and light blue/green is Wisdom. As you can see, it is only uphill from here! Well, until it goes back down, and then up and then down and then up…

I found this drawing last night, walking down West End Ave. It makes me want to spend all day drawing. Amazing.
I also found a love note on my walk.

Today I received a copy of the TV program that I was recently featured in. The show, called Amazing 10 Seconds: Count 10 was shown on 2004 October 08 on TBS. That’s Tokyo Broadcasting System, not to be confused with Turner Broadcasting System. Hopefully your Japanese friends were able to see this one.
The show featured 10-second clips of interesting video; slow-motion slaps to the face, a camera traveling through the digestive tract, my face morphing over time, etc. When they filmed it this summer, I had no idea how it would turn out, but I was pleasantly surprised. These are just two quick screen grabs from the background info on who I am. I can’t wait until Kiyo can translate the audio and text for me later in the week. I’m especially curious whether it was a game show or not. It seemed like it oddly enough.

This summer I was asked to be a part of a photo-shoot for Work Magazine, a magazine designed by my friends at Project Projects. As you can tell by the wire-rimmed glasses, the casual-sporty suit, and XL S,M,L,XL, I’m portraying the role of Architect in the shot. It’s supposed to look like a cheesy multi-cultural stock photo BTW. If only I had more of a receding hairline, it would have been perfect.

I have to give a HUGE THANKS to Alberto Frigo who eMailed me and sent the link to Tehching Hsieh’s One Year Performance. In 1980, Tehching punched a time clock hooked up to a camera in a gallery every hour on the hour for a year. I had seen a little blurb somewhere once and have been trying to re-find info on this project for 4–5 years now. I am so excited by this!
There’s even a movie clip of the project at the bottom of the page that’s quite nice. I wish I could get the One Year Performance DVD-ROM, but I’m broke. Anyone willing to support me by gifting me a copy would be notably thanked.
I have added Tehching’s project, as well as Alberto’s own ‘interaction’ photo project to the Obsessive Photo Links page.
Wow, it’s been about a month and a half since I uploaded the latest batch of daily photos. Well, we’re current now… The Daily Photo Project
For those of you who have e-mailed: Yes, I am still alive, doing okay, and the project continues. I just don’t update it every day.
