Due to a complete reconfiguration of my web server, YMMV.

BoxBots Up to Date!

Screenshot of All BoxBots in Browser

Oh my, for the first time ever…! All the BoxBots I have ever made are online. I even added the photocopies of the “I thought lostBoxBots from Antarctica. Hopefully they are enjoying their homes with Brian, JP, and others. And don’t miss the two WebWarriors bots of Xbox.com and Gamcube.com. I can’t really officially call them BoxBots, since, well, they aren’t made from boxes. You understand.

What’s interesting to see in this thumbnail is the fact that I seem to be making the BoxBots bigger and bigger as time goes on (they are in reverse chronological order). Probably won’t be doing any new ones any time soon though. I’d like to do a few more based on websites, but we’ll see.

I updated the BoxBots that other people have sent to me as well, though the images are still a little rough. But they’re all there, so, that’s something.

What else?… well, I added 3 e-mail surveys that I did a few months ago and were hidden away from me. The Marcel Proust one I am especially fond of.

Spooky Phone Book Tests

Phone Book Ghosts

Man, I wish I had been a grafitti artist in my younger days. Then I could have some control over how the eyes and mouths look. Give it time man… Anyway, these are just some tests of using gloves as ghost stencils.

Houses, Burning House, Ghost

Houses, Burning House, Ghost

Three recent/current projects I’ve been/am working on. Houses made from junk mail. An embroidered shirt. Test of a spray-painted shirt.

Also got a whole bunch of new drawings up, as well as most of the BoxBots. See the top right navigation for the link. They’ve moved directory locations, so sorry to those who have links to them. But they’ll be permanent now. Well, until I change them around again.

Googled my phone numbers

Images of my Phone Numbers

I decided to see what would happen if I put my phone numbers into Google’s Image search. These are the results. The two photos are my mobile phone, and the little graphic is my home phone. If you are able to “backwards hack” what my numbers are based on these images, you are amazing. Give me a call sometime.

New Design, New City, New Me

Well, things are really moving forward here in Pittsburgh, and on the web, and in my head…

First off, the design: Well, I finally got fed up with the use of diagonal lines (background) in design for the web, and decided to go with some serious color bars. Yes, I realize bars are overdone as well… so sue me. The nice thing is that I got the random colors to be within a certain range that I enjoy (reminds me of hi-liters). Also, in the process, I realized that a lot of the site really didn’t work beyond my own computer. I’m hoping that things are getting better. There are still some silly CSS hacks I’ve made, but it’s definitely better. If you have a problem still, let me know. I still have a few pages to update like the BoxBots and Drawings, and they’ll get up here shortly. I’m pretty busy though.

I have a couple projects in the works here that I’m working on. First is an installation for an exhibition at Pittsburgh Filmmakers in late June. Lots of work to be done on that now. I was also accepted into the pool of artists vying for a chance to do a community mural courtesy of the Sprout Fund. I’ll find out on Friday which community I’ll be competing for. Then it’ll be two weeks of drawing and painting proposal ideas like mad for a chance to do the real deal.

Lots of little projects that I’ll be showing images of here as well. And biking around the city, working at sunKING, and just trying to keep fighting!

In any case, I hope you like the changes I’ve made, and that you’ll come back to check up on things from time to time. L8R.
