I was checking my MySpace account last night and came across this new survey. And being that I love these things… I got to it immediately. And I have on word of a friend that it is hilarious. Just to toot my own horn.
One of my MySpace friends posted this one as a bulletin. It been such a long time since the last survey. Yay!
Had this dream a few nights ago… All I remember was that I was going to go into a meeting for some reason or other. And then Daivd LaChapelle was the guy I met with. He talked a lot, and I wondered why I was there because what he was saying had absolutely nothing to do with me or anything I could do.
Living My Life Faster - 8 years of JK’s Daily Photo Project on Vimeo
I posted 3 versions of the Daily Photo Project video last night. Tell all your friends. Then tell them to make fun of me…
[update due to being featured on Yahoo!'s The 9] I am still taking photos and will probably update the video every year. I made the animation in Adobe After Effects which allowed me to align the eyes with a minimal (hours vs. weeks) amount of work. And Thank You in advance for all your comments… I probably won’t have time to respond to them all, but they are much appreciated!
to an American male who was berating two German guys about working in the USA: “Do you honestly believe the world wouldn’t survive without us [USA]?!?”

I signed up for a YouTube account. I uploaded the Heart motion graphics video I did for Josh’s podcast. On the 1st of October, the Daily Photo Project will be 8 years old, and I’ll be uploading an animation of all the photos a couple days later. Hopefully by then I’ll be able to pick some copyright-free music as a soundtrack.

I finally finished these two shirts for my friend in Germany this summer. I had the shirts for two years prior to finishing them, and needed to put some closure on them before visiting. Anyway, the first one is an experiment with yarn and non-crossing line-making within a grid. The second is another try at the idea of a scarred garment.

Got stung by a hornet (I think) today in the office at Cranbrook. I think it landed on me on the way in, and then I brushed it and got a little sting. It went away in about 15 minutes though, so I’m okay. I know you were worried…
Apparently I am way too influenced by the next day’s events in my dreams…
Last night I dreamt that I was in an apartment with my lady friend and we started to notice a commotion that was unusual in the city. We were on an upper floor of a hi-rise and so had a good view of what was going on. It was night time, and all of a sudden we hear a loud hissing sound, like a radiator valve blowing off steam. It was loud and then there was a missile that launched out of the ground with all the fire and smoke shooting out the rear. We were stunned. There were things flying into the city though it was a ways off. We all shouted versions of, “What are we supposed to do in this situation? Seriously, what the hell do we do?!?” The lady and other person who was in the apartment ran out and I assume tried to get out of the building. I stayed and watched the missiles being launched into and from the city. There were explosions and I could see ships racing in from the sea. They just cruised right on up to the port and then all the ships in port were crammed into the city. There was a beautiful reddish light on everything that made it all look like plastic. And as the ships crunched up the building, the building started to twist. That’s when I freaked out… The building was going down and now I’m going to die!!! But as blackness descended on me, I could still feel my environment.
I think somehow after all this, the building was twisted back into place and I was outside watching it.
I was working at COT on some project and the boss asked me if I had taken care of something. I told him that I had, it would be done the next day. And he was satisfied with that and left. Then I went to see how this woman was doing on her work, and she had just finished whatever thing she was working on. I asked her if she could get this thing done that the boss wanted to know about. She seemed a little put off that I was asking her to do something immediately after she had just finished this other thing. And she didn’t think she could do it that quickly. And as we were talking about this, the whole staff came busting into the room, with the boss yelling at me for lying about having the project ready or about lying to him about talking with this woman. In any case, he was mad and I had been caught lying at JC’s workplace. It was rather embarrassing, and I tried to explain what was going on, but really it was such an excuse, and I was just mostly embarrassed about having JC think less of me.
