I was originally inspired by eboy‘s packaging creations. A couple were made just to see what I could come up with on my own. I tried (and still do) to focus on using only lines and shapes that are in the original packaging to guide what the BoxBot will look like. While in Antarctica, I became obsessed with this project from the perspective of waste re-use. That’s where a bulk of them were created. Now I just do them every so often to have a little fun.
I'd love to see what other folks can create, so I invite you to take part in this lovely craft by sending your image to website@c71123.com.

These are brilliant, I’ve got to make one of those beer crate boxbots! I have a similar thing going (insofar as reusing where possible) over at the Newspaper Bag Project, do check us out.
These are brilliant! I wanted to let you know I’ve posted the image of the wee Preparation H guy on my blog http://www.iworkinashop.blogspot.com/ with a link to this site.
If you would rather I didn’t use your image in this way, please just let me know and I’ll take it down.
Regardless, I love your work.
Do you steal ALL your ideas?..
Only the ones I think I can do better than the original.
