   Manufacturers have used advertising and marketing of three major brands: KOOL, Newport, and Camel for the past 3 decades to promote menthol cigarettes for the past 3 decades in the black community.

   Menthol was designed to mask the irritation of smoking and increases the sensation of airflow; it may facilitate deeper inhalation and increase exposure to nicotine and other harmful components of tobacco smoke. Although menthol is not addictive, it may contribute to tobacco addiction by promoting initiation and facilitating inhalation of smoke. Inactive ingredients affect the uptake and action of the active drug ingredients in cigarettes.

   I found your blog because I was googling images for a campaign I am working on to help DC Metro Rail Employees Quit Smoking. We all know smoking is bad- menthol cigs are worse, and furthermore they are one of the most deadly killers among the black community. Check out this website for more info. .

   your firesafe ciggerette almost cost me everything my cig keeps going out and has to be relit sometimes several times i was home smoking and thought my ciggerette had went out again but to my surprise i had found my carpet smoldering apparently the light from it had fallen off but i assumed it just went out again so luckily your firesafe ciggerette only cost me a carpet and not my family or belongings how is f.s.c any safer? to me its an inconvience to keep lighting. 20 years of smoking and iv,e never caused any damage until recently. will this be resolved someway
