Age Progressions

Last night I was checking out the latest in age progression, and found that EMEGA Imaging Limited has released a web version of their April Age Progression software, which I’ve been meaning to check out. So, here are some results.

Starting with a base image of me at 10 years old, the left photo is me at about 35. The right photo is a collage I put together of what I actually look like now with my old haircut.

Left photo is me at 10, then at 72… the right one is me at 72, with the base image from a few days ago…

Sadly, I guess there’s been a version of Britney Spears at 50 floating around lately, which is a bummer.

Yes, I am obsessed with myself.

I made this Flash Mii Avatar of myself at work today. Apparently I did a good job… and apparently I look like an egg-headed dork. Sigh.

Simpsons JK

Keetra created this Simpsons version of me using the avatar creator on the Simpsons’ movie site. According to her, “those ARE Jonathan’s eyes”. Hmmm. At least the Carhartt Tan is correct, though I have no green shirts.

In other news, I thought the movie was really enjoyable. Not amazing, but I thought it was going to be a stinker and it wasn’t. It was just a really good long episode. The only complaint is that it didn’t feature enough of the secondary characters, but then, it would have been a 10 hour movie.

NY Times Article & Scion Advert

The Daily Photo Project and the list of related photo projects was mentioned in yesterday’s NY Times article (sorry, free registration required by NY Times). It was mainly about Noah Kalina and the phenomenon surrounding his ‘Everyday’ video.

On that note, Noah also sent me a link to Scion’s 3 Years Advert created by LA-based motion graphics firm, Buck. It’s obviously playing off of Ahree Lee’s ‘Me’ video and is a little disturbing. It’s not disturbing because it’s a “rip-off” but because it plays with the idea that someone loves her car so much that she wills her head to become square. That’s sick.

Also, someone e-mailed me and said that there is a Dunkin Donuts advert out there in a similar vein. If you have a link for it… make a comment to this post! I’d be interested to see it.

Me (2001_November–present) Ahree Lee makes a nice video of three years of everyday photographs.
Ellora Klein (2004–present) Arno Klein’s working on the full documentation of daughter Ellora. Includes video.
Russell Higgs (2006_July_21–present) Russell’s only been at it for a couple months, but I am flabbergasted at the results so far.
