Due to a complete reconfiguration of my web server, YMMV.

Clip-Art Mods

Clip art taken from Microsoft Office that has been exploded via Adobe Illustrator’s distribute tools. It’s an exploration in using software tools incorrectly to achieve new forms of making.

  4. nicole: All I did was open some vector clip art in Illustrator, ungrouped all the objects, got rid of clipping masks and compound shapes, and then used Illustrator’s Distribute tools:

    Víola!

  5. this stuff is so great, really original

  6. Just wanted to say that this is a really great concept for graphic imagery. You are able to create a form of a person and you could show what they are really like, character wise by placing a new character or perception on the inside of this starting image. For example the nice aristocratic lady in the ball gown as the outside form and the wild unchained girl on the inside. —What a really great idea.

  7. I came to your site to see your awesome Princess peach shirt and discovered this. I am always playing with microsoft clip art files.
But I have never done anything even remotely as awesome as this. I love how abstract the images have become but while still holding true to the original character.
    Thanks for sharing!
