Harmen Liemburg Poster
Keetra’s holding the poster I made for Harmen Liemburg’s lecture on Friday. Yes, it’s really plastic type. It’s based on the postcard thing for the Bruce Mau lecture that is here the night before.

nice! what’s the material behind the letters? You should really expand on that idea. It could turn out amazing.
Bruce Mau is coming to speak at my school as well, ACAD. April 26.
I work though, so I won’t be able to go. Unless the lecture was wicked awesome, then I’ll try to get the shift off.

The material behind the letters is floral foam.

As far as the lecture’s concerned… I left early, I needed to eat something and fall asleep.

I hope harmen didn’t mind being depicted as an older, rounder, and more hairy designer!

I’m interning with the output foundation and working on the photographs for the book right now, we had fun playing with your matchbooks!

I felt bad that Harmen’s visit got overshadowed by the robust Mr. Mau… I think Harmen was okay with it. He’s supposed to come back to Cranbrook in the fall, so it can’t be all bad, right?

And I am so excited about seeing how the matchbooks look in the book! I was rather worried about sending them, but I think the outcome will be spectacular. Can’t wait to see the book! Thanks for taking care of the matchbooks!

I counted all the letters I had and did a quick mock-up in Illustrator, moving each letter by hand (or mouse if that’s your flavor).
