Hand Harp
Illustration of a harp for an upcoming event. More details as I get them. was supposed to be used as a part of promotional material for Google’s YouTube Symphony, but apparently that aspect of the project was scrapped.

Very cool, but this seems more like photo manipulation than an illustration.
That’s funny, because my explanation text would then read “Photo manipulation of a harp…” which it obviously is not. It’s an illustration of a harp that uses photo manipulation (and drawing I might add) for its execution. Subject over form.

PS an illustration is any thing that illuminates the written word. A photograph illustrates text. I had no problem with this being called an illustration…and it rocks! Weird and cool.
I’m curious about the distinction between the ‘written word’ and ‘text’.
